Karen was born in Brooklyn, New York. She grew up in New York, France and Spain. She now lives in Westport, Connecticut with her family and her two cockerpoos, Zoe and Rosie.

Karen shows her work at the Carriage Arts Barn, Silvermine Gallery, Rowayton Gallery, the Wooster Gallery and throughout Connecticut and New York.
